Opposite my studio on Sly St in the heart of London's East End stood a row of terraced house from the 1700s, built for Huguenot weavers, exiles from religious persecution in France.

Stood being the past tense of the verb To Stand because at the time of this shoot they were in the process of being demolished.

Behind the band are the remnents of families lives, the walls they lived with laid bare.
