Dr. John, born Malcolm John Rebennack Jr. in New Orleans on November 20, 1941, was a renowned musician known for blending New Orleans blues, jazz, R&B, soul, and funk throughout his career until his death in 2019.
He gained fame with his theatrical persona as "Dr. John the Night Tripper," particularly after the release of his debut album "Gris-Gris" in 1968.
